KP ELECTRIC WINS NATIONAL NECA AWARD FOR FREMANTLE PORTS PROJECT
KP Electric (KPE) is pleased to announce its success at the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Award Ceremony, held on 27 November 2014 at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne, in winning a National Commendation Award for the Fremantle Ports North Quay HV Reticulation and Sub Station Upgrade.
KPE were responsible for the installation of the precincts upgraded High Voltage electrical reticulation system and associated substations. This included the installation of new ABB switchgear into purpose build substations, data and security systems for remote switching, and various general building works.At the presentation ceremony, KPE’s Managing Director Peter King thanked the KPE team for their commitment and dedication to ensuring that the company delivered the highest quality outcome for their client, Fremantle Ports.He also commended that staff had on full display their commitment to the company’s core values without compromising on safety, quality and attention to detail. Peter also thanked Greg King, WA Industrial Manager, and the Fremantle Ports team: Paul Johnson, Paul Donohue and Bob Francis for all their assistance and support during the project.“Greg has worked with the company for 17 years and never ceases to amaze all those that he works with of his outstanding skills in project management, leadership and his never ending commitment to the company. Greg is also a member of the company’s Executive Leadership team and has been instrumental in its national growth over this time”. He said.
